Block Party

The Barton Street Block Party is held annually in August in the parking lot of the YWCA Day Care Center on Hawes Street. In 2004, the Block Party was a multi-cultural event with African Drumming, American Stepping, and Colombian Dancing. The Block Party is sponsored by the BSNA and brings residents together for entertainment, food, and education about community resources. The date for the 2005 Block Party is undetermined, but will take place in the month of August.
